The End to the Laci Peterson Mystery
Scott Peterson Finally Confesses

The End to the Laci Peterson Mystery DALLAS, TX and DENVER, CO--(Marketwire - October 16, 2007) - Unique, inspiring, and dramatic, "'I'm Sorry I Lied to You,' the Confession of Scott Peterson," by Donna Thomas, is a literary sojourn into the dark and disturbing world of Scott Peterson's life on California's Death Row. Based on the infamous brutal murder of Laci Peterson and her unborn son, Conner, "'I'm Sorry I Lied to You,' the Confession of Scott Peterson," reexamines the evidence, the speculation, and the major players of one of America's most heinous murders. Publication date is set for December 15, 2007; wherein, Thomas, a well-known anti-death penalty advocate, details her personal visits to Scott Peterson on San Quentin's death row and describes that fateful day when Scott confessed to her.

Although many books have been written about the Peterson case, this author's work is unique in that it examines the detailed workings of the mind of Scott Peterson firsthand. Vilified by the press, the family of the victim, and various other literary entrepreneurs, Scott Peterson is seen by Thomas as an individual who although convicted of the capital offense of murder is still a human being.

Donna Thomas exposes certain aspects of the events, characters, and circumstances that were not highly published during the investigation, arrest, and trial. She also questions the motivation and competence of some of the participants. These ideas alone are a source of necessary checks and balances in an already overtaxed criminal justice system. Also, questions are raised in this true crime literary piece as to whether Scott Peterson did or did not receive a fair trial.

One question that Donna Thomas does not raise is the matter of Scott Peterson's innocence. Although in the beginning she believed Peterson was innocent, it is the brutal and graphic confession while visiting Scott in San Quentin that changed the course of her investigation, Donna's relationship with Peterson, and altered her emotional and spiritual essence forever. The passages detailing this aspect are brutally shocking and without remorse.

"'I'm Sorry I Lied to You,' the Confession of Scott Peterson" will take you to a literary dimension seldom experienced within the realm of modern reading. Donna Thomas' legal expertise and humanistic endeavors create an atmosphere of suspense unequaled in any previous writing on the subject. Her visits to San Quentin are accentuated with sights and sounds of a world seldom seen and contain some well-known death row inmates of equal or greater infamy. Inside this secret insight into the mind of a man still being talked about today, you will also find photographs never before published.

Ms. Thomas continues to work on cases of people wrongly accused all over the country, she maintains residences in several cities.

Why am I not surprised by this announcement of a new book in the works? It doesn't matter if this "author" visited Scott, it doesn't matter if she got a visitor pass. The fact is he must have trusted her.........only to be betrayed again.

Without ever seeing this "book" I will state right now with 1000% certainty that she has nothing to back up any comments she will attribute to Scott Peterson. She will have no tapes and nothing in writing. It will be her word against his, should he even bother to dignify this "book" with any response at all. If she has any, she will dress up her resume, her credentials, her "good" (probably phony) pen name and then make the comparison with Scott. And in the end, what will it all mean? Nothing at all. Once more people will be subjected to garbage passed off as a work of art. Once more it will be accepted as the truth by the very people who claim to have superior intelligence over the people who continue to support Scott's innocence. And once more money will be made over the suffering of Scott and his family.

The five minutes of fame and fortune continues to be sought by those who have no integrity and no sense of honor. And one can't help but conclude that betrayal has become a way of life while these "authors" seek their fortunes.

I will not buy this "book" and I hope others will not as well.

Hello Marlene, it is good to see you posting again. Do you think this book is real and that he really confessed?
I don't plan on buying itdue to the act that if Peterson really did confess, it would be all over the news and people from court tv wouldn't be able to hold it in.

Thank you Marlene for posting the "news" of the forthcoming book in your Feed Blitz email. I don't believe any of this for one second. For me to believe anything about Scott, it would have to come from his parents or his own voice.

Please keep us advised about anymore info that you hear.

A Scott Peterson Supporter

P.S. I will NOT buy the book.

Gee, sounds like Gloria might be tied in here somewhere with this "author"... show your face Gloria!!

I found this when I typed in "Donna Thomas and Gloria Allred" in the search engine field... Wikipedia came up:

On January 10, 2007, Donna Thomas, a legal researcher and legal advocate, appeared on CourtTV radio Sirus network, with host Vinnie Politan. The program included several jury members, Amber Frey and Gloria Allred. On the program, Thomas stated, "I truly believed Scott was innocent, I was doing everything within my power to prove that. I spent thousands of hours on research on the evidence. However during one of my visits with Scott at San Quentin, he slipped. At that point I knew he was guilty. I didn't know what he did exactly. On another visit with him at San Quentin he made a full confession." Thomas alluded to the fact that there is a book in the works regarding his slip and confession.

I will wait for parents statement before even thinking of buying this book.
If the author made this anouncement, followed by details and proof, without making any monetary gain, I would´ve be reconsidering my position on this case...

Another blood money book!!
Scott would never "confess".
It would devastate his parents and
others who are invested in him.
AND he has an appeal working.

This Thomas person better have deep pockets after Scott is proven
innocent

I will buy the book! Absolutely! It still amazes me that people out there are still supporting this murderer. But then again, people still support O.J. too!

SupportScott.NOT!

It's amazing how low people will go for the almighty dollar. Didn't anyone notice that this person using a fake name Donna Thomas does not have a law degree in the US? Research before you review.

Marlene, why would you promote this book? Are you tied to it?

This is aweful! How could someone even think about writing such a book and say such things.

There was no confession as Scott did not commit murder!

Thank you for the information. It is sad that Scott has to forever look over his shoulder and not have trust in anyone.

I would never buy this book nor read it. I urge others to do so as well.

Thank you Marleen for your support of Scott and all of the work that you do and the time you put into it.

Hi
I can't tell you how many times I've been ridiculed by others for my doubts about SP guilt. A guys with no criminal record just doesnt kill his wife cause he's a a little hoo-a on the side! I am male so this isn't any love fest, theres just no evidence!!

Can SOMEONE with more knowledge than me list any websites or books I can read in order to gain knowledge on just how crooked this trial was?? Thanks, its appreciated.

gabagool, I recommend the links on the right -- they contain a wealth of information on what went wrong with the investigation and the trial.

Hello Marlene!
Saw you on Facebook before and read the whole PWS SII page.
Thank you for your good work!
It's simply unbelievable none in the jury had "reasonable doubt" but I also remember the media frenzy surrounding the case...
Still, it gives me the creeps to think it's THAT easy to end up on death row.
But there is hope! 139 people got exonerated from death row since 1979. Even if the majority of people don't want to admit it: a miscarriage of justice is possible in the USA.
More on that matter on:

If anyone is a victim of being CyberStalked by Donna Thomas I would like to know. She is stalking me and threatening to sue me if I have assets you can sue for. If you would like me to forward this threat to your email, let me know... Together we can make a case against her! BTW here is some public info about her

I clicked the link you provided, and she is indeed on that list. You can send me information at marlenenewell1247@yahoo.com. Do you know what action caused her to get on this list?

To Anonymous who posted on Nov 18, asking why I was promoting this book, and if I had a tie to it.

I'm not promoting it, I simply noted the media announcement on what the book purports to be about. All those glowing things about the book -- that's from the media announcement, not me. I personally think the book is pretty disgusting, but preferred not to say so in the article figuring people could decide for themselves whether they wanted to believe that trash.

Whether our not Scott committed the crime, I do not know. What I do know is that he deserves the rotting in prison he got for cheating on his wife numerous times. If he really is innocent, he will come out one day n will never cheat again
.

I think Scott deserved the prison sentence for cheating on his wife and failing to protect her, love her and cherish her. I do not know, just like nobody else does, what really happened to laci. If Scott is really innocent he will be out one day and will hopefully have present his lesson = to never cheat again.

Soooo he deserves the death penalty because he cheated on his wife?! If that were the case then there would be alot of guys on death row because truth of the matter is that most men have cheated at one point or another on their spouse or girlfriend. Bottom line is this guy got railroaded because he cheated. Yeah what he did was wrong (cheating) but he doesn't deserve what he has gotten for it. And this comment is coming from a woman not a man.
